Construction Estimator / Commercial & Residential

Are you a former construction PM, estimator, or trades owner transitioning out of field work? We are seeking a highly capable Construction Estimator with a strong background across demolition and full scope construction services. This is an opportunity to join a growth focused contractor and take ownership of projects from initial client contact through execution.

Atlas Development Services Inc. is seeking a driven Estimator to source, bid, secure, and launch projects across a diverse portfolio including demolition, environmental services, and general construction.

Position Highlights:

Base salary of $52,000 annually ($25/hour equivalent)
5% commission on secured projects
High impact role with direct influence on revenue generation
Diverse project mix including demolition, environmental remediation, and construction

What You’ll Do:

Proactively source and develop new project opportunities
Prepare comprehensive, accurate cost estimates across multiple trades, including:
demolition, remodeling, siding, roofing, concrete, masonry, structural work, doors, windows, site cleanup, cleaning, and asbestos removal
Develop detailed material takeoffs and fully itemized project budgets
Clearly define scope of work and execution strategy for each project
Present estimates to clients and convert bids into signed contracts
Manage contract execution, including payment collection and documentation
Lead project kickoff by walking job sites with field teams and providing clear operational direction on day one
Maintain organized estimate files and support continuous improvement of pricing data

What We’re Looking For:

Properly licensed, with 3+ years of construction estimating experience; strong preference for demolition expertise

Proven ability to manage projects from lead generation through contract execution
Deep knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing across multiple trades

Strong local network (Hampden / Berkshire / Northern CT corridor)

Experience with environmental services (including asbestos removal) is a strong plus
Strong communication, negotiation, and client facing skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple bids and timelines
Self-starter mentality with both independent drive and team leadership capability
Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel), with the ability to prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and cost breakdowns
Comfortable working with digital plans, estimating software, and basic project documentation systems
